About Us

INSPIRING LEARNING

Existing tutoring for introductory programming is outdated and with so many resources available on the internet, it can become daunting to learn how to code. At STAFF Code, we aim to use our software and programming experience to teach the fundamentals of programming and inspire self-guided learning using resources, projects, and incentives. We want to show that entering the tech field is its own reward.

MEET STAFF CODE

Berkan mertan

Hey, I'm Berkan Mertan, and I've been programming for around eight years now.

I've had prior experience in tutoring elementary students with programming basics, I've collaborated with others on open-source development and software, and I'm currently working as a software developer intern with the UW Watershed Dynamics research group for the Landlab project.

When my eyes are burned from work I love to unwind by going out, coding more (duh), hitting at the nearest tennis court, or relaxing with movies, music or a podcast.

ADITYA BANKOTI

Hi, I'm Aditya, and I've been coding for about seven years.

I have teaching experience through prior volunteering at Julius Boehm Pool, and Code Ninjas, where I currently work to teach the young students the fundamentals of programming. I've worked on a website for a hair salon company, participated in hackathons, and published open-source code.

When I'm not coding, I'll be listening to random songs, lifting weights, or swimming.

Hi, I am Parker Small, I have been coding for three years.

I have also been teaching large classes of students at my Sunday School for three years now, and I have experience privately tutoring English to foreign students. I currently work as an intern code developer at Vettd.ai, a software company local to Washington.

In my free time away from work, I enjoy practicing my guitar daily, skiing/snowboarding, and staying in shape at my local gym.
